Regular Activities
The village hall has the following regular activities:
Embellishers
A self-help Embellishing group meets on the first Monday in the month from 10.00-3.00. We help and inspire each other and use the technique of embellishing to make backgrounds and final pieces for our textile work. Tea and coffee provided. Bring your own lunch. We organise for an experienced tutor to visit annually/biannually to inspire us. Contact annemery5@gmail.com for further info.
Caundle Craft Group
A small group of ladies meet once a month on the 3rd Wednesday and we either bring our own work or we work on a project as a group. We sew, knit, crochet, bead, or even do block printing. The aim is to have fun and to help each other, as we all have our own favourite hobby and also like to try new crafts.
Bishops Caundle Quilters
This group meets every Tuesday morning from 10am to 1pm, generally working on their own individual projects, with occasional sessions devoted to making a specific item. Contact Carol West on 0196323834 for further information.
Short Mat Bowling
Short Mat Bowls is a fun but competitive sport, suitable for all ages. It doesn’t matter how fit or strong you are, this is a sport primarily about hand-eye coordination and tactics. All you need to start is a pair of flat soled shoes and you’re ready to go. The club has sets of bowls available for you to use. We meet twice a week at the village hall, on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at 2.15. So if you fancy some light exercise, and an opportunity to catch up on local gossip, come along to any of the sessions and give it a go, or contact Mrs Carole Blundell on 01963 23171.
Pilates
Body Control Pilates classes with Laura Watford. Monday evenings and Thursday mornings. www.lovickpilates.com
Spinning Classes
Spinning classes are run on Tuesday evenings from 7.30 to 8.30. Contact Sophie Meads on 01963 23629 for details.
Badminton
The Badminton group meet on alternate Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm. For information please contact Sonia Knott on psknott1@icloud.com.
